Lessons
Rosebud Farm has a level 2 Certified American Riding Instructor on staff. We offer Western and Hunt Seat lessons for all age groups from 5 - 105.
We offer these lessons M-Thurs. Day times are available as well as afterschool times. Please call for available times.

Our strong emphasis on safety requires that every students wears an ASTM certified riding helmet. We have helmets available, but it is recommended that the students who take lessons regularly purchase their own. We also require that students wear a boot with a 1/2"-11/2" heel. Also, the boot should not have a lot of tread.

Our groups lessons are 60 minutes with 3-6 ridiers. Cost $25/ rider
Semi-private lessons are 60 minutes with 2 riders. Cost $30/rider
Private lessons: 60 min. Cost $40 45 min. Cost $35 30 min. Cost $30
Riders paying monthly will receive a $5 discount per lesson. Payment is due the first lesson of the month.
Riders who use their own horse in lessons get a $5 discount per lesson.

We also have classes for the younger child that is not quite ready for formal lessons.
Horsey Kindergarten Ages 5 & 6 6 week sessions with a 45 minute class once per week. 3-6 students per class. This class offers a general introduction to horses and riding for the child too young for riding lessons. Students will be introduced to leading, grooming, tacking up, and riding leadline.
Costs $70/session

Horse Elementary Ages 5 & up 6 week sessions with a 60 minute class once per week. 3-6 students per class. This class is the next step up from Horsey Kindergarten. Students will start to focus on leading and more riding basics. They may or may not come off the leadline, depending on their skill level.

Horse Camp
We offer horse camp for children during spring & summer break. It is a fun filled week of learning about horses, handling horses, care for horses and riding skills. The students will ride twice daily; a daily lesson and mounted games or a trail ride. We play games everyday that will also teach the students something along with all the fun. At the end of the week the students will put on a horse show for family and friends to show off all the skills they have learned throughout the week.

Camp starts at 9 and children are to be picked up by 2. Campers are to bring a sack lunch. Each week will have approximately 6 campers.

Leasing
Leasing is for the student who wants to try out horse ownership without making the commitment of purchasing a horse. Full lease Cost $250/month
There is a minimum 3 month lease for riders showing in 4-H.
Lease includes use of horse, riding up to an hour per day, $60 worth of lessons, tack for horse, partial farrier care(shoes are additional), and deworming. Availability is limited.
(NEW) Partial lease
1st option: Riders can ride once per week for an additional $50-$62.50, added onto their monthly lessons.
2nd option: Riders can ride twice per week for an additional $100-$125, added onto their monthly lessons.
The price is determined by how many weekends in the month there are.
There are 5 time slots the riders can choose from: Friday PM, Saturday AM, Saturday PM, Sunday AM, or Sunday PM.
The riders sign up for a horse of their choice, in the time slot of their choice.
Horse and time slot choice is on a first come, first serve basis.
